Mmm Cake!

Pile it on! He made sure each bite was worth the slow and careful trip to the mouth. Every spoonful is packed full by use of his other hand. "Licious!" He says after his brother says "De---licious!"

Strange Guests!

Drew had some strange party guests show up for his birthday today like this Sharkboy/Buzz Lightyear character!

Happy Birthday, Drew!

Drew is 2! We can't believe it! We celebrated with a "Pooh" birthday as a family today. He picked out the plates the other day at Walmart so we went with Pooh at 2. We had hamburgers and hotdogs and cake and ice cream of course. Later today, we'll be headed to Currents, an indoor waterpark here in Missoula. Drew had no idea it's his birthday, but cake tastes good any time of year so why not?

Baby's Best Friend

Dogs don't have to be just "man's best friend." Maddie was Baby's Best Friend. Maddie was the first and last thought on the mind of Drew the entire visit. He was gentle all of the time giving kisses like in the picture, petting them and saying "Hode you!" He wanted them on his lap, in his face and by his side whenever he could. He was really sweet and the dogs didn't seem to mind all of the extra attention too once they realized this little person wasn't out to pull their tail off!

Snowshoe is new!

Eric and I also had a "first time" experience. We went snowshoeing. My parents purchased all of the equipment for themselves so we had to try it out. I love tredding upon all of that fresh snow where no track has gone before. It made me just want to lay in it and mess it up! Good exercise too! It was peaceful and serene...part of that maybe was not having the boys with us as background music so it seemed awfully quiet in the great outdoors!

Brr!

Drew wasn't sure what to think of the nose biting snow blowing in his face. The first day we went sledding. Ethan and the rest of us had a great time. Drew ended up cutting his sledding trip and a little short and was much happier drinking cocoa and playing with the dogs back at my parents' house. Although, he did go down the hill a few times saying "Whee!" as he went and closing his eyes because of the snow in his face! This was Ethan's first sledding experience. We went again the next day and it was even better. There was a fresh layer of powered snow and there was no wind and snow falling so it was perfect. It's such peaceful scenery and fun times!

Christmas in January

We loved having a bit of Christmas with Grammie, Poppie and Maddie the first week in January. I think Maddie was Drew's favorite Christmas present.
