Happy Christmas!

Happy about Elmo (in his hugging arm) and the candy in his other hand! He very cleary shouted "Canny!" as soon as he pulled out the M&M candy cane!

Fa La La

Ethan's Christmas program was on Friday. Ethan is at the top left corner. This is his class and they were with 2 other Kindergarten classes performing a variety of Christmas carols, poems, and demonstrating their learning so far.

Pajama Party

To celebrate Jesus' birthday, we had a pajama party. When Eric got home from work, we had jammies waiting for him. We ate Denver Ring with apple cider by candlelight, played Candyland and other games, put together puzzles, and watched part of Polar Express and The Christmas Story. We played musical beds and it ended up with Ethan laying by the couch on the floor, I was on the couch, Eric retreated to the bed and Drew laid in his crib. Ethan woke up, groggy in the middle of the night and said "Which present are you opening first?" This was around 3am. He tends to talk and move in his sleep. Not too much sleep walking, but he has ended up in his closet before!

Me and You on the Choo Choo

The boys are doing a lot more together these days. Playing together, fighting together, wrestling each other, sliding together...

Dillard's Train

We spend much time on the train right outside of Dillard's. When Eric works weekends, we join him for lunch at the mall and then play on the train. The boys are about to slide down the slide together here.

Monkey See, Monkey Do like Monkey 2

Drew loves to copy Ethan. It's perfect for picture taking as long as we can sit still for more than 10 seconds!

Snowflake birdfeeder

Ethan, we are still using the snowflake birdfeeder you gave us a few years ago. They love the peanutbutter and seeds we spread on it almost every two days. We have chickadees, finches, woodpeckers, and red-wing blackbirds all feeding off of it. Thanks so much for your thoughtful gift. Grammie and Poppie

He learned this from Eric! He was trying to drink/lick every last bite of his yogurt!

Mommy's final product! I thought I wasn't going to decorate a ton this year since we wouldn't be having any company. I wouldn't be hosting the cookie exchange, no parties, no visitors so I was going to go with a "simple" theme. Turns out, I decorated more this year than I ever have. Every room in the house is decorated except Drew's room. I decorated 5 trees (lights and ornaments), our front porch, above our cupboards, etc. etc....So, maybe we will be having a party this year! Someone else has got to enjoy it beside me! Actually, Ethan has been really into decorating, hot chocolate and Christmas this year. Yea for me! Eric has been working all weekend so I decorated all weekend! Wow! It's almost Monday now!

Gingerbread House Tradition

Ouila! (wah-lah) For our 3rd year, Ethan and I fancied up a gingerbread
house tonight. Our motto tonight was "if you mess up, eat it and start again!"

Ethan's Christmas Tree

This was decorating weekend. We started with decorating a tree for Ethan's room. He was pretty proud to show off his tree to his brother! Ethan even made the chain links to go on the tree! I'll post a picture of the tree.
